Spoofed email addresses and websites using a fraudulent domain are one way that fraudsters trick victims to give away credentials or make remittance changes.
There is one way you can spot a red flag with a suspicious email or website: Check the registration date.
Since fraudsters will sometimes create all the assets - including a domain - for a fraudulent campaign right before it will be sent, checking for a registration date within days, weeks or even months from the current date can be a red flag. When combined with other red flags, this could save a would-be fraudulent payment.
