An Alabama woman is in custody after investigators said she targeted a Grant Parish company in an email scam that cost the business $40,000.
The scam began when Montgomery Tank received an invoice by email from a vendor the company had worked with for years. What they did not know, however, was that email address had been compromised.
Authorities arrested 61-year-old Pamela Smith of Decatur, Alabama.
