Cleveland 19 News in Cuyahoga County in Ohio reported:
A Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court grand jury indicted four people in connection to a check fraud ring that even stole over $200,00 from the City of Parma.
From July 18, 2023, to Dec. 19, 2023, the four suspects would wash stolen checks, create realistic-looking forged checks and draw down the balances of the accounts, according to the release.
Over $445,000 was acquired and deposited, according to the release and $63,188 have been recovered throughout the course of their investigation.
