ABC News & in Lawton, OK reported:
Criminals targeted an animal rescue by sending them a $4,000 check as a donation, but then said it was only supposed to be $2,000 and asked for a refund.
While the organization didn't fall victim to the refund request, they had already started using the deposited funds that of course bounced. As a result they have halted all activities until further notice.
